The DJAA’s mission is to promote professionalism within the DJ and MC industry through information, education, networking and support of our membership, and to maintain the highest standards of service to consumers in planning, organising and coordinating the use of the services delivered by DJAA Members.
All of our members are required to conduct themselves and their businesses in accordance with our Constitution, Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and Guidelines. Accredited Members must also maintain up to date (i) public liability insurance, (ii) test & tagging of all electrical devices used in the business and (iii) hold any appropriate music licence.
This ensures that DJs & MCs have the opportunity to grow and develop on both a personal and business level whilst customers and venues receive the highest quality service that meet the exacting business standards within our Association. Everybody wins!

The DJAA is about promoting & helping each other – so when a DJ/ MC is unavailable for a gig, an accredited member can be recommended through a member referral.

DJAA FOR EVENTS
So you’ve chosen the venue and the caterer, made a guest list and even have your outfit picked out. You know that if something goes wrong with any of these things, there is someone you can turn to for assistance.
But what about your entertainment? What can you do if something goes wrong? What kind of assurance do you have that your entertainer will live up to your expectations or that they will even show up?
For most of us, our special event is a once in a life-time occasion. We do not want to risk souring what should be a wonderful memory by engaging a less than professional entertainer.
The DJAA has been established in such a way that consumers can be rest assured that they are hiring an entertainer that has not only been judged a professional by their peers, but also by their clients.
Every DJAA Accredited Level member has to meet minimum standards and other criteria before being accepted. The process verifies that they not only continually maintain professional standards and seek to improve knowledge and skill levels, but also belong to an Independent Industry Association to stand behind these claims.
DJAA members:
* Have a minimum amount of experience to ensure you have a professional entertainer at your Event
* Most are also proficient MCs and understand the benefits of working with venue managers and other industry professionals
* Use quality equipment
* Have backup plans should an issue arise
* Dress according to the event
* Are setup in plenty of time for the event
* Act professionally at all times

What can DJAA offer venues?
By choosing an Accredited DJAA member, a venue can be assured that the DJ/ MC entertainer has not only been judged a professional whose passion, talent, expertise and service are outstanding by their clients, but also by their industry peers.
Every DJAA Accredited member is required to continually meet the minimum accreditation standards, meaning venues can rest easy in the knowledge that they have hired a professional who will help maintain the reputation of the venue.
Benefits of Accreditation for Venues:
* All Accredited members have many years of experience so know how to work with event managers to ensure the smooth flow of proceedings
* The majority of members are proficient in performing Master of Ceremony duties
* All Accredited Members hold Public Liability Insurance
* All Accredited Member equipment has been test and tagged in accordance with AS3760
* All Accredited DJAA Members hold the appropriate music licence if required
* All members dress appropriate to the event
There is the opportunity for other members to assist if an unforeseen event occurs
If there are any concerns after hiring a DJAA member you have a National body where you can provide feedback and seek resolution of issues.
